Wedding Day - Getting Ready

The day of the wedding started off great. The bridesmaids all went with me to get nails done!

During the time where we were getting our nails done, my mom had picked up all of our flowers and brought my hair piece to me. When I saw it my heart fell. It was completely wrong from what we had talked about in the consult and it was accented with this gaudy yellow bow that would have been in my face if I had used it. I called the florist and they said they would fix it, so my awesome mom took the hair piece clear back down to Draper with my grandma in tow so they could make it right. Thankfully, they did.

After nails we grabbed lunch at Subway and a Starbucks (the barista didn't charge me!), and headed to Teryn's house to start the getting pretty process. We arranged for the guys to get dressed in tuxes in the basement while we took over the upstairs. The photographer and videographer arrived to record the events for us.

After we got ready at Teryn's we headed over to Cactus and Tropicals in Draper so I could change into my dress before the wedding.

Rehearsal Dinner

Our rehearsal dinner was held at Biaggi's Italian Restaurant in the Gateway shopping district. They were excellent to work with and very accommodating to our needs! We had a private party room so that made things more comfortable. Donny and I chose the menu in advance not realizing that it came in about 7 different courses! People were filling up by the third and had to stuff to make room for it all. It was amazing food, though, so it was worth it!!

Bridal Party Party

The Wednesday before the wedding my bridesmaids put together a party for all members of our bridal party and their spouses. It was a struggle getting there with the blizzard that hit Utah that day, but everyone made it safe and sound-ish. We had some fun playing games and eating and drinking.....and more eating. We had Italian food and it was DELICIOUS!

November 2010

On Veteran's Day we decided to finally re-paint our bathroom. We were bored of it being the same color as the rest of the house, so we painted it Waterscape Blue. Later we are planning on doing some tiling around the shower to match the tile around the bathtub.

Halloween in Man-Happenin' Kansas!

Last weekend my two best friends came into town to visit for a few days. With them, they brought my wedding dress. Yay!!! It fits like a charm and I can't wait for New Years Eve!! We had a relaxed evening on Friday with Italian-ish food and LOTS of wine. Saturday I showed them around town and took them to the little town I work in. The town is Wizard of OZ themed with a little winery where we tasted then purchased some wine. That night two of Donny's friends and their fiance's came into town for a little Halloween party. We fixed supper, went to a little haunted corn maze, then hung out at our house for the rest of the evening. The costumes were great and we all had a blast.

Unfortunately, I had to send my best friends home the next day, which was a sad moment. Only 2 more months, though, until I get to see them and most of my family for the big day!!
